1990 awful noise, need help!
a friend of mine needed help replacing the tps sensor in his 1990 2.2 standard accord today because his car was constantly hunting from 1000-3000rpm no matter how hot or cold it was. we replaced the sensor using the honda manual and did everything exactly to the T. after re-assembly we start the car and their is an incredible constant whine coming from the engine right NEAR the intake. like in that general area and its not a suttle whine more like a crazy loud whine. so we check all of the vacuum lines check all of the bolts, check the tps again and it continued to screech. took it for a quick spin around the block and the throttle started hunting again but would even out after a second or two at idle. any thoughts or ideas?
i think the noise is coming from the egr valve not shutting all the way and causing an air leak into the intake but the car drove fine today until we replaced the tps, we even tried putting the old tps back in and that didnt change a thing. im stumped and hes pissed so any info would be amazing

Something like this happened to me it ended up being the harmonic balancer although you say the noise is coming from the intake area so im not sure because the harmonix balancer is on the driver side of the engine good luck
