ok so im getn a 95 teggy sometime next week. is there anything i should worry about or check out? it is a auto but shifts great hes nmo slipping. has stock motor in it. any info will be nice thanks.

my bad on that typo. its not slipping. dont know what model. just that it has a b18a1 i thank.

 

HMMM... the B18a1 is from a 90-93 USDM Integra RS/LS/GS, [both coup and sedan] and is a non VTEC engine.

So I would want to know why someone swapped a B18b1 out for the older B18a1, I would take a very close look at this car before I fork out any cash for it. 94

 

look under the car at the tow hooks if theyre rusted up then it obviously but messed with. why the 2nd gen motor in it. look at the front radiator support for new paint or rust spots.

 

 

i thot thats what they came with my bad what the 95's came with that non vtec. has miner rust in back wheel wells. does have a factory sunroof.

 

it has 16xxxx miles on it.

A non VTEC with a sun roof has the B18B1 and may be an LS, GS or maybe SE the GS-R has a VTEC engine, [B18C1] and a sun roof, it is definatly not a Type R, comes with a B18C3 VTEC and I beleave sunroof was not an option.

Pull the arch protectors and have the rust repaired right away. 94

 

Once that rust becomes readily visible, it's too late. It gets between the various body panels which are spot-welded together in that area, and you'll never get rid of it.

 

You do not have to tell me, I replaced both quarters, [full sides] on my 94.

However, it does depend on how much rust there is, we have "saved" a number of Honda/Acura, mostly Civics and Integras by catching it early, some with nothing more then a wire brush and Rust Bullet. 94

 

when i get it i will take better pics and show u guys.

 

Make sure to look everything over. Including rust spots, working order of the electronics and fluid levels/colour. Any receipts for work or parts replaced would come in handy.
