Default Are JDM USDM flywheels and starters different

I've been having a squeall from my starter after I put in an exedy flywheel
Exedy being a japan company, I'm curious because the teeth are angled differently.
Napa autoparts offers two starters A nippon (JDM) and Mitsuba (USDM)
I have the Mitsuba on mine
have a look at the teeth
I found that this might work from a related thread in the prelude section
exedy left JDM BISIMOtO right usdm
