vacuum leak?? 91 EF hatch
hey whats up, i have a 91 hatch, with a sohc ZC swap...buuuuuuut i had to leave it DPFI for a while (lost job, and no ecu) so anyways it is running really rough like maybe it has a vacuum leak somewhere??? i just wanted to get some feedback...im NOT throwing any CEL btw. i replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, both battery wires, intake manifold gasket and alternator....its reving about 1500 to 2200 rpms.. it would jump on its own..then it will just die....also when i try to rev it up, it will have poor throttle response.
please let me know what you think

Sounds like you may need to clean your FITV if it's loping up and down from 1500-2200 rpms. Here: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/how-fix-fitv-its-easy-1-2-3-a-699787/

try your ignition timing at the distributor. three 12mm bolts
slide it towards the firewall to retard and towards the front of the car to advance
replace all your vacuum hoses, 15 bucks max
the seafoam will help a lot and pinpoint the problem

also makes sure your idle is well adjusted. throttle cable should have good amount of play
the sticker under your hood will say where it's supose to be. and if its not too much. Do a valve job

vacuum leak is certainly a possibility.
I've experienced a couple other causes of the symptoms you describe:
idle air control valve - clean it out and make sure there is no air in the cooling system... which may require repeated drives to work out all the bubbles.
distributor - try a known good one.
