I removed the valve cover and I seen this bolt sitting next to one of the valve springs. I was like "Wtf??"

Then I found out where it threaded at. I tightened it down but does anyone know what its for?? It didnt seem like it held it down much.

not 100% sure on what its for.. but i would replace the crush washer under the bolt. if you dont the vibrations will loosen it up again. happened to me a few times. its not biggy i dont even think it holds down anything its like 1/4 inch long

 

I have no idea 2, but bump X2, but if its hidden under the valve cover it must be there for something, leave it alone and move on...

 

thats a oil pressure port
and yes ive seen many occasion where they have came off and were just laying inside the head without doing any damage lol.

you will get no oil pressure for vtec though. id tq it down with thread locker since its only used for testing pressure i beileve

 

So VTEC wont work unless that bolt is in place?
