Default I'm an idiot - Fuel gauge question

So, I was removing the stupid gauge faces installed by the previous owner. Thankfully, the original gauges were sitting just underneath.

When getting the crap ones off, I snapped the fuel needle off (ARGH!)...

Question, am I boned or is there an easy fix here?

Previous gauges, just because:

Sometime super glue works, put a drop of glue on the pin get it back in the right spot and keep turning it so the glue doesn't glue it the shaft turns in.

The needle on my temp side broke. I just replaced that whole side. It was like 30-40 bucks I think.

Cool, thanks for the insight...

I now have another question though.

When removing the **** gauges that were covering up the original gauges, I cut away wiring that allowed you to change the brightness of the aftermarket units. In doing so, I must've cut the actual wiring to the real gauges - they don't light up anymore.

Is this an easy fix?

Don't those needles just pull off the stem? I bet you can get a new needle, say ebay, junk yard.

They do, just pull right off. BUT, they aren't that easy to pull off, and break. Often times when they break it's not the needle, it's the actual guage.

I've never seen the needle break, always the thing the needle sits on.
