F/S: 1989 Honda Civic Wagon Automatic
1st off, im selling the car for my uncle. long story short. my uncle bought the car for his wife to commute for the time being as her land cruiser gets the head gasket worked on + other seals. she doesnt feel safe in this wagon because she is used to driving a bigger car (drove her truck over 10 years) + the travel from gilroy to sonoma everyday. shes worried cause of the mileage.
car was bought iirc on saturday 12/3/11?
the GOODs:
i checked it out back in hayward. my point of view. car drove very smooth. trans shifted great. theres no oil leaks no oil residue smell coming out the engine bay. the cat seems to be replaced as well as the mufller box. acceleration is responsive. no vibration what so ever. gas is great according to the last owner and when my uncle drove it these last few days after we bought it.
-212k miles on the original engine, no smoke
-clean title. pink slip does not say salvage
-registered til may 2012, has tags
-passed smog on 11/30/11 so its good for the new owner
-front tires have very good treads
-interior is clean
-new sony unit just installed for basic radio/cd
-new fusion door speakers installed, again for basic use.
-heater works great, NO AC
-new thermostat and gasket
-has POWER STEERING. feels great.
-has tint
-all lights work
the bads
i called the dude asking if there is anything i need to know about the car before i take the drive and that if i go, its more than likely we are buying the car. he said besides what he told me thats it. so i questioned the cracked corner light and he said it was a minor fender bender and that the bumper and corner lights need replacing. i asked for frame damage and he said none. so since it was only being bought to just commute we went and checked it out (rear top paragraph) bothered me but not my uncle that the frame was tweeked a little bit (but not the frame rails) got it home and i tweeked the frame a bit and made everything sit correctly.
-needs new corner light
-needs new bumper and plastic filler
-if you want, pull frame out (does not affect driving abilities) headlight patterns are equal and straight
-CAR IS ALMOND COLORED. fender was half *** painted by the last owner's cousin. so i sanded it down and painted it gloss almond from rustoleum, almost 100% match
-fist sized dead on top of the molding on the driver side rear door.
aside from everything about the car is pretty legit and smooth to drive. i would to keep this myself but i cant afford it + having a sedan and a wagon myself.
Pink slip in hand, smog paper in hand ASKING $1600
please text 408 318 9280 because my phone currently doesnt work. will get a new phone this week if anyone wants to discuss anything else.
