from what i heard h22s are headache to get right and there not reliable especially like 93 si usdm ones. b20s are great for low end tourqe. not sure if you can run b16a short gear ratios trany or gsr trany with them but great motor for allot of tourqe and reliable because most came from automatic crv's haha. the only draw back is unless there built for it they dont rev hi and ive known allot people that blew them doing just that.

Won't buy that cause I already have a 91 teg, and I don't like those preludes, I like the later models.

H22=Reliable drop in power
B20 Vtec= Gonna need to be built the right way to be as reliable. (Those bottom ends weren't made to rev as high as the vtec head)
I would do some homework and decide what is more in your range of budget and capabilities.

If you no how to brace a frame that should never happen. My friend has a crx with and h22 turbo and we've never had problems with that.

ARP Rod bolts, b16/gsr/itr/ctr pistons (ls pistons do not have enough of a valve relief), b16/gsr ARP head studs, plug 1 oil galley in the head, any vtec water/oil pumps (ls pumps cavitate at high rpm's) say you use gsr pumps you would use a gsr timing belt., any LSVTEC oil line kit, and the ECU that goes with the head you are using.

He nailed it right there. Avoid CTR pistons

The best combo is LS rods and b16 pistons since they are a direct fit.

One thing I would add is arp rod bolts, since using stock rods requires thicker rod bolts for the high revs.

ARP rod bolts were the first thing I listed for that reason lol

i would go with a b20, it is the popular choice out of those so there are more options

b20 vtec is very common, you can also find b20 blocks everywhere, Like people have stated above as long as you mate all the parts that need to be there and don't rag on it every day or run it low on oil/oil pressure you will have a blast..

Agreed ^^. And the aftermarket support for H-series is very limited at best.
