What would YOU do to MY Teggy? Free for all :)
Just like the posting says... Say you're me, whether it be a college student on a budget or work full time and and you want to do a build, the RIGHT way, on a budget... What would you do to MY car? Its a 1990 Acura Integra GS with a b18a1 with a 5-speed tranny... 100% stock, nothing done to it other than NGK spark plugs and a deck inside...
Engine mods?
Suspension upgrades?
Wheels?
For the love of God, post pics of said wheels or interior mods but if I see any mention of body kits Ill cry.... Have fun!

Dont know what kind of rates you wanna run, but for me I chose 450F/350R for my DD.
If you're short on cash, go with progress coilovers.

I had a friend who had a '92-'93 GSR. He brought it to college with him. Within the first week or two it'd gotten hit and broken into (stole his radio). Then he parked it at home and it got broken into again and left in the middle of the street after they couldn't get it started.
I ended up going over and fixed his ignition with a friend and stored the car in a safer location until my friend came back from college.
My decision for what to do to the car would rely HEAVILY on my financial and personal situations at the time. Not to mention the number of cars I might have.
If this car fell into my hands right now, what would I do? I already have a '98 Civic (pretty modified) and an '88 CRX (swapped, daily driver). I'd fix EVERYTHING wrong with the Integra and keep it stock. Tune up, new tires, bushings, stock exhaust, etc. Makes the car so much better to drive daily.
i agree with keep eveything as stock as posible and focus on keepin it well maintained. then yonaka coilovers, rota track r 15s, nice clean exhaust like a flowmaster axle back (200 bucks on ebay). just try to keep the car as simple and clean as posible
if i were you i would keeep it simple. dont go gsr. when are you ever gunna use it. build the car up and mess with the engine last. if it runs dont try to fix it... i have a teggy too its a 91 gs. its not how i want it yet but heres some things im gunna do or have done.
carbonfiber hood and trunk and carbon fiber wrap the top. all around window visors, including sunroof, front and rear lip. xxr513's, dropp it as low as possible haha, bike rack, if you wanna spend money do a right hand drive conver.
theres alot to do to it.
riht now i have my car painted a nice pearlesent blue and purple. i have xxr501 deepdishes and ticko blue coilovers. for the inside my interior is a flawless tan with a bamboo detatchable steering wheel.

If I could find an clean, [no rust] 90 Integra, [any trim level] I would keep it as stock as possible, but then I have my 94 Integra that is already modded.
I nice clean "stock" G2 would be nice and I would make every effort to keep it that way.
For your car it kind of depends on what you want the car for.
If your looking for performance, look into upgrading suspension, brakes, air in and exhaust out, if engine still in good shape, if not, swap in a 94+ 1.8L LS and GSR hydro transmission, Type R transmission if you can find one [lots of upgrades available for the LS engine].
Keep in mind once you start looking at an engine swap, things get expensive and complicated, for the price of a swap you can do some pretty spanky suspension/brake/wheel/intake upgrades. 94

really? why do swaps unless you do one with allot of power? i would rather have a good runing motor thats quick, beciedes he has the b18a1 and im sure its not slow. if you make it clean youll get more respect than a swap or any other crazy parts
Notice he said what would you do, free for all, so I'm not talking swapping a GSR and call it a day, I'm talking built GSR > LS.
x2 to nice gsr swap. Keep the body clean and simple, drop in a beast under the hood, unless the motor was as well maintained as the car, then i would just mod out the ls and cross my fingers. But I'm a rev ***** so I like my vtec :D but as we all know revs kill motors.
store the car at home, get a beater like me..sit on honda tech and figure out what kind of set up you want..if the cars clean clean id keep it stock..if uve got to do alota work to it..F**K it put a K20 in it lol!
If you don't have big goals and don't want to blow tons of money, but still want something reliable, go with a full tuneup and re-do all maintenance. Most owners neglect simple maintenance and can cause excess wear and tear. Change out ALL of your filters, fluids, etc. If it doesn't have too many miles, feed the engine some Seafoam (If you do this, prepare for the worse. Seafoam can make underlying problems larger like if you had a crack somewhere and the Carbon buildup was sealing it).
After some reliability "mods", go with the basics. Hondas are easily stolen so spend some cash on a decent alarm system (Preferably one with a backup battery in case someone tries disconnecting the alarm from the main batt). Go with an intake/header/exhaust combo for increased gas mileage (Better breathing engine) and good basis for if you want to put more power in the future.
Most people who don't really track their cars or do any sort of motorsporting generally just get some coilovers or lowering springs to get rid of wheel gap which also decreases drag which would help increase gas mileage for long highway drives and road trips.
I'm sure you can search around for "weekend mods". Just a bunch of simple little things such as painting valve covers or waxing your car to protect the paint.
MOST important thing: Your car is prone to many different stresses. Don't buy crappy parts! Really think about the conciquences of what would happen if that part failed. Sure, if your eBay shift **** breaks, you would have to drive home holding onto the shaft (har har) but if no name coilovers break, you will be paying way more in the long run.

Also, older vehicles usually have worn internals so get/make an oil catch can for the PCV system (if you have one) to stop blowby from being recycled into the engine.
