Default 98 CBR 600 cracked block

Hi, soon I'll buy a 98 Honda CBR 600, but she has a cracked block, a friend of mine is selling me a 92(i think) CBR 600 block, the question is, will this block fit in the 98? can I reuse the head, cams intake etc etc and use the 92 block? Will i need the whole bottom or just the bare block? really dont know if its a 92, but im pretty sure is a 91-94 F2 model. Thanks.

Yes its an F2 and yes they are diff, but the F2 will bolt straight in. IDK If the heads will swap. The only time you really run into a problem is doing F3 in F2 frame you have to notch F2 frame to clear TPS.

Also are you keeping the F3 carbs or does the F2 come with?

yep, and your carbs/electronics etc. The F3 fuel sys is a bit more complex and has a fuelpump/tps.. And no problem
