When my 1992 RS was stock, i was doing 15.4 @ 88-90 mph. The only "mod" was a cold air intake + removed backseats.
You need to practice.

my best time with my LS was 15.4@87
i had..
Apexi N1 cat back(NO CAT)
AEM CAI
Apexi WS coilovers
and 14" Bf goods Gforc's (worth the money)
with stock tiers i ran 15.8@85
its all with the launch and shifting.. if u are running a 16.5+ need to work on your driving. i'm not tryin to be a jerk.. but i know every time i go to the track i do better.. but i also street race alot!.. its in the launch and shifting.. ok..
later..

Heck, maybe it's an automatic.

I think you got it there.

When my car was an automatic (before the swap), the best my LS could do was a 16.7 with an axleback exhaust and a short ram intake. After my 5-speed swap and the same mods, I did a 15.9. That's almost a full second off, not bad IMO.

well 15s are pretty good, since i've only found 16.0 as the best factory time and thats with an almost perfect driver in near perfect conditions, and its not the driver, i've let others drive it and they get the same results. couple of freinds have tegs and tehy get around the same on this track. so either all of our cars r ragged out or the track conditions are screwing us out of some time. few of my freinds have raced other cars there and ran a lot better at another track but its only 1/8 mile.

Thats awesome, that means I should be able to get my times damn near the almighty high 13's JUST by swapping..... not a bad deal is it

I figure a 8 tenth gain will put me realistically at 14 flat.... and the extra 25whp and 20lbs of torque I gained since I tuned (track time listed is PRE-TUNED) should through a tenth or 2 on there thus bringing me to 13's..... can't wait.

Hehe, you'd like to think so, eh Eric? At the track on Sunday I ran a 14.1 consistet with 7psi. Something about that crazy AFC hack wouldn't let me run any higher than that, otherwise it would bog down and I'd get 14.4's. I put it at 10psi and got 14.4, I put it at 11psi, I got 14.4, 9psi....14.4...and finally I dropped it to 7psi and I got 14.1. Strange, eh?

I need to get that damn FMU.

And if you learn to launch better than me....which apparently everyone is doing now, 13's should be easy. My R/T was like over a second and my 60ft was about a 2.5-2.6. Crazy pathetic.

Oh well....FMU is on it's way.

Damn dude thats strange..... and why can't you get your 60's down more? I can do a 2.5 in my automatic for crying out loud :/ You need new tires or smaller rims or something?
