Engine and transmission codes
Checked my engine codes today and the engine sends a 41 code and the D4 transmission light is sending a code 15. I know the engine code is a oxygen heater sensor but what does the transmission code 15 mean? I remember about 2 years ago I left from a stop sign and the engine stumbled and lost power for a second. At that time the D4 light kept blinking.It did it several more times that day until I shut the engine off. When I restarted it I have never had the problem again and have put at least 25000 miles on the car since. It bothers me though and I would like to find out what the problem was or is. If anyone knows what this code refers to please let me know what I should check or have checked. . Thanks

Thats for the NM speed sensor. That is the shaft sensor located on the backside of the transmission right cover facing the firewall. The NC speed sensor is on the front facing the rad core support.
It may just be that there is a build up of ferrous metal on the sensor(its magnetic) Purchase a new O ring before pulling it out. Pull it out and clean it. If there is material built up on the sensor the NC sensor may also have crud on it, pull it and clean it too.
