DPFI '89 civic won't start, HELP PLEASE:'( FUEL PROBLEM
It all started with the original stock motor blowing up. A week of two after driving w/my "new" rebuilt stock motor (d15b2) using the stock computer (PM5-9F), I was leaving a friend's house when the car didn't want to start working. The car was towed to my house where I began investigating the probable cause.
Here are the results and steps collected from the on going problem/s:
1. The main relay wasn't sending signal to fuel pump. Fixed that by replacing the blown fuse corresponding to the main relay and replacing the main relay itself(had a spare)
2. Realized no fuel was traveling through the fuel lines. Checked this by viewing the fuel pressure regulator and then by unbolting a bolt from the fuel rail. Fixed this problem by replacing fuel pump.
3. Ok, fuel was traveling through the fuel lines to the filters into the fuel rail and ready for the injectors. The car still doesn't ignite. My next probable cause was bad injectors, primary and secondary. I went ahead and bought new re manufactured injectors, still the car doesn't ignite.
4. My options here are limited now in my investigation. Next, I went ahead and checked the primary cut-off mixture solenoid valve. It works.
5. I then checked if all the plugs pertaining to the sensors on the carburator had worked. The problem here is I don't know what voltages each of them need to have, I.E. Injectors, primary cut off mixture solenoid, etc.
Note* The car will eventually ignite after holding the key on ignite for about 10 seconds. It is not functional, the car stay on high revs 3500rpms higher.
I'm seriously clueless on what I can do next. My next step is giving up and taking it to a mechanic but I don't want to do that. Can anyone please guide me in the right direction? Thank you so much. I hope this information is helpful

Well I just posted that since you were asking and I pulled it from the Haynes manual.....hoping that would be some help. It sounds odd to me that everything fuel related has just died all of a sudden. Have you checked the fuel pressure? It should be around 40. But then you say as soon as it starts up it revs all the way to 3.5k which leads me to think you're getting fuel fine so maybe your throttle cable is kinking up somewhere or needs to be adjusted or your idle needs to be adjusted. I was hoping someone else would chime in that maybe has dealt with a carb intake. What if you unplugged your TPS while it's running? does it bog down or stay the same?
