Default 98 Accord overheat at low speeds, no hot air

Hi everyone,
my 98 Accord is overheating.
I can hear the coolant boiling at times from inside the car.
Its mainly only heats up at low speeds and stops, on the freeway to airflow keeps it in normal range im guessing?

I topped off the fluid today, took off the radiator cap and set my air to hot and let it run. When I opened the bleeder valve to check for air pockets no coolant came out and so it seems there is no coolant flow.

My top hose is hot and bottom is cold, I also detected a leak where the thermostat housing connects to cold hose so I will be replacing that hose and the clamps.

I recently changed my oil and there was no milky substance so I think my head gasket is fine.

Does this sound like the thermostat is stuck?

Update 1: I paperclip jumped the t-stat connector and my radiator fans do work.

So I pulled the thermostat and dropped it in boiling water and it opened up.
Seems like its working fine.

Does this mean my water pump is broken?
Its the only thing I can think of now...

Ill be changing timing belt and pump next weekend and replacing that radiator hose.
Hopefully that will fix it.

Sounds like you have a coolant leak and there is air trapped in the system..... Just MHO. Are you in NC, if so what part?...if you want to do all that work then have fun....

An OEM thermosta is like 20 bucks and they are designed to fail open that way it won't fail stuck closed and ruin your engine. Just get a new one and be done with it. Don't want to try to save 20 bucks and then have to junk the engine cause ur car overheats.

This is cooling 101.
