Icon6 H22 piston options

Hello everyone,
I am in the middle of doing an engine swap in my 93 lude and I bought a used h22a from a kid who said it ran, so I took the chance cause I was putting new parts in it and I had the head redone at a local shop. Well we were looking more closely at the block yesterday and saw that the cylinder walls had some light groves in them. So I will be sending the block of to the shop now to clean them up and was trying to figure out what pistons to put in. I am not sure what bore size I will be running, I'll have to wait to hear how bad the groves are, but I am running a n/a motor with some head work skunk2 intake manifold ported intake and exhaust with dc sports headers. I am leaning towards wisco pistons they have always done well in my eclipse motors but since this is my first Honda build I thought some of you might have some good recommendations.

Thanks in advance,
PaBB4

You may as well just sleeve the block since you're already there, not many options for the FRM liners and not many shops deal with servicing them. With iron sleeves your options become huge.

Never thought of that!! Thanks.
I've been doing some reading, seems like CP is big for the k series guys. Any brand that does really well with the H series?

If you have grooves, you're better off sleeving or finding a new block if you don't have the $800-$1200 for sleeves.

If you keep the stock block, Mahle is the only piston that I know of that is FRM compatible. If you sleeve, you can always rock the standard budget Eagle/Wiseco combo, if you have a preference beyond that go with it. I run Cp pistons and Pauter X-beam rods.

typemismatch, where did you buy your parts from? I am not sure who is a good company to deal with. When I did my eclipse I did business with slowboy racing (now built ind.) but they are not really into hondas much. Any recommendations?
