I'm hear a grinding sound when Im turning steering wheel. I replace my power steering hoses. So im thinking air got in it. But im not sure how to bleed it or how to take the air out.

Make sure there's adequate PS fluid in the reservoir. Put the car in park, rev the engine to a fast idle (I used 1500 rpm) and turn the wheel from one extreme to the other while avoiding full lock. Do this several times, then return to center and let the car idle normally for a couple of minutes.

Check all the hoses, especially the suction hose (inlet) and make sure they are pushed in far enough and securely clamped.

 

Air in the power steering pump/system wouldnt make a grinding noise. MAYBE a whine and stiff steering.


But like mentioned above turn car on hold rpm at around 1500 rpm and turn the wheels all the way left and all the way right back and forth. (dont go to the very max were you feel the rack wana burst lol!

if it doesnt go away id start saving for a new pump.

 

Just top the resevoir to the max line and steer the wheel from lock to lock. Doing this will bleed the system.

Usually when it whines, fluids low. Otherwise the pump may be on it's way out.

 

If there is air getting into the inlet, the pump will make a buzzing noise, which gets louder as you turn the wheel. You'll see foam and bubbles in the reservoir as well. Since you replaced the hoses, they should not be a contributor. There is an o-ring in the inlet fitting of the pump that could potentially leak air into the system.
