You have a clutch-pack type LSD.
The clutch plates are worn out and they need to be replaced.

The catching/clicking you hear/feel is the clutch packs loading up and releasing under tremendous pressure. The friction materials are worn past their service life and mechanically binding-- not slipping under rotational bias as designed.

Newer Helicial-Gear Type Honda LSD's don't have this drawback, but also
don't fit in the cable trans housing either.

I bought a used JDM YS1 LSD off Ebay, and a used JDM L3 Transmission with LSD.
Both clutch type LSD's, both bad.

If you find somewhere/someone who can supply the parts and/or service on these factory Honda LSD's PLEASE let me know.
My LSD has been on a shelf for years.

The YS1 LSD, I took the car apart, trans apart, put all new Acura bearings in, put the trans back together, and then back in the car.
....only to find out I had to do it all over again.

Thats what they do, it's the slow speed turning where you feel it. There is more tire slip potential/rotational bias correction at speed going down the road.

I drove mine for a week and took it out. That was years ago, and the trans is great.
It cannot be good for anything on your car. traumatic shock on everything...
