At BOTI the tech guy told me:
1. must be encased and vented to the outside.
2. Must have a cutoff switch located on the outside of the car that kills the entire electrical system.
I had an Optima red top.

the battery need to be enclosed inside some type of box. Then you have to run a hose through the floor board. You need to buy cables also.

Go to a car audio shop and buy some 4 or 6 gauge wire. I forget the exact gauge but the audio forum will be of better help. Measure how much you need and go and buy some.

Go to http://www.summitracing.com and buy one of the kits, either Moroso kit, or the generic Summit Kit. The Summit kit should have all you need.

The switch out the back of your car to kill your electrial system is an NHRA rule if your running in a certian time class. It's very fast, so I doubt you'll have to worry about it... I wanna say it's 9.99 and under, but I'm not positive.

Cable get's run inside the car.
