Default removing resonator dc5

hi! got a stock dc5 type r im not contented w/ the stock sound of the dc5 muffler but i don't want to ditch them either.. if i remove the resonator just before the muffler and the midpipe meet and replace it with a pipe will it give me a little deeper sound?

i can't do a cat delete because of the check engine light... will the sound quality be a good one or a high pitch ugly sound?

Resonators give cars a deeper tone. Removing it would make it higher pitched I believe. I hope you plan on welding it up right though, if you have any holes it would sound terrible
