Saw this on ebay. Says she was givin the car in the divorce. Car looks mint and she said she still has all the parts that came off it. Would be great if someone got it and returned it back to stock

Despite all the junk, most of everything easily be undone minus the amplifier mounted on the rear seats and the foglights which obviously would take sourcing new parts to return back to OEM. The rest of the stock parts are said to be included.
The 97 SPECIFIC market is tough to gauge pricing, though. There hasnt been a GENUINE CLEAN CLEAN example available for sale in close to 2 years so it's tough to price out. There was a slightly modded 30k mile example on ebay/autotrader a few weeks ago, but it was rear ended and had a SALVAGE title. He was asking $13,500 and it soon disappeared. There was also a different 30k example a few months ago for $16,500 ask and went pending sale shortly after, but it had those stupid side moldings the owner added on which scared everyone off, myself included. Even if you were to remove the moldings which were probably installed at new, who knows how bad the color mismatch and/or residue would be left behind.
I don't know, though. Everything seems to line up with her story. I've watched damn near every 97 ITR listed for sale on ITRCA/HT/NWP/EBAY/Auottrader/CL, etc., etc. since 2003 and have never seen these photos before. (If you're wondering, yes I do have a 97 ITR that I've owned for years..) You can see a blonde woman in the reflection of the photo with the vin #. I guess if you're seriously interested you could always use the "contact" button on the auction, give her a call, perhaps have the car inspected by a mechanic or you could always fly or drive in person and see for yourself.
It's not on here. http://www.integratyper.org/usdm/1997.htm
The ad looks authentic to me because the photos are detailed.

Car turned out to be beautiful....
We were discussing this on itrexpo.com a few days ago. I've never come across this ITR before....not surprising if the one owner (ex-hubby) claim is true.
I do know..
-VIN matches badge # distribution perfectly. Given the pic of the badge, I doubt a scammer would guess the VIN
-VIN had a clean TX title as of April 2006 at least
Only possible way it could be a scam is if the caR was listed somewhere on the interweb already and the ebayer stole the pics AND info. Claiming to be an ignorant ex-wife is a good way to dodge specific questions about the car.
Anyone in the market should have this caR verified in person, either themselves, an acquaintance, or a hired inspection service IMO.

Screw buying the car..I think I finally found my dream women..recently divorced and owns an R? 97 at that..*fap fap fap*
In all seriousness, this doesn't seem to fishy to me, a little high in price but like one gentleman stated, the market for 97's are different compared to other years.

In his post he states, just like everyone looking at that car, the moldings were a tough thing to swallow and more so gamble on. But again, glad it worked out!
ebay gets more views and more car sales. it's becoming the defacto way to sell a car outside of local craigslist. ever since they redid the fees and made them flat it's really made volume boom
