what goes into slamming a 91 hatch?
been highly interested in slamming my 91 hatch.
ive read the sticky that was posted about ride quality and beefing up the spring rate.
my current setup is stock shocks with Type RS coilovers, and im absolutely bottomed out on those and cannot go lower.
i have about 1/2 in. of my tire past the fender lines.
but ive been reading around, and i keep hearing stuff about extended top hats (to increase travel) and also about inverted tie rods?
im not really looking for the Hellaflush look, i just want to be at least another inch and a half lower
what are good coilover/shock combinations as well as supporting mods?

There's no right way to do 1.5" LOWER than 1/2in of your tire past the fender line.
The novelty will wear off in less than a week if it's a daily driver.

There is no way in hell you're going an inch and a half lower easily.
Look at Koni/GC with extended top hats and you'll need 600+lb rates in the front and 450+ in the rear.
It's going to ride like ***. But your shocks won't bottom out.
I don't know much about EF suspension, but I'm pretty sure they have an extra-special hard time when it comes to lowering them excessively.
The car is going to be dangerous that low. I don't see the allure. Your suspension geometry will never function properly at that height. The camber range will feel unpredictable in a turn.

anywho to prove you wrong sir, its personal preference.
Just don't expect it to perform well, be comfortable, or last very long.
which ones can allows you to go a little bit lower.
also your car is on steelies and cut springs, so that tells me how cheap, and quite possibly ugly your car is.

this is good enough for a quoted signature
Actually, air bags are the best way (or one of at least) to have a very low car, at least in terms of staying the most usable (can raise it for driveways / speedbumps with the right systems) and damaging the ride quality the least (very progressive spring rate)...

grumblemarc< you have 9k+ posts and this is how you post on peoples threads? how are you not banned yet, you've been to help at all to this thread. I'm gonna report you to a mod.
OP. for the look/style that you a pursuing I strongly suggest going for a fully adjustable coil over setup. like maybe K sport, F2, DC, or even the famous CG/Koni combination witch i read allot of good stuff about.
Its a good look in my opinion. I have F2's but i'm not slammed yet. I'm till thinking is it worth smashing that sharp metal inside the front housings that keep cutting up my tires haha.
good luck. Oh yeah you'll spend 700$+ on coilovers or

My airbag comment was totally sarcastic. I run PIC selects on all my cars. The op seems kind of clueless. Also i am not a noob, the wife got pregnant so i put my cars on the back burner for about a year now except starting them and a quick spin around the block. I started a new acct on here that is why i have very few posts.
