Default My DB8 build... 4 DUR FTW...

So about 8 months ago I picked up a 97 DB8 with 140K miles on her.. I bought it from a girl who was 2nd owner and had no idea what she had.. Lets just say I got a good deal.

The car was in decent shape but it was owned by a girl so it needed some love. Car was BONE STOCK

here are some pics of her when I first got it.

After having it a month I order up some buddy club N+ coils and put on some Enkei 92's i had from my hatch.. 15x7 + 20 with a 195/45 tire.. I was scrapping splash guards

After this I took it to my buddy who is a local Honda mechanic and had him go through and replace any seals that where leaking, Also flushed all fluids and replaced with Honda OEM fluids and did a tune up. I drive my car 3-400 miles a week so I need it to be reliable..

so I got bored with my enkei's and I wanted something wider and concave.. I come across the TR motorsport wheel so I ordered them up

15x8 + 20 with a 205/50 tires. I wanted a little more meat under the car..also Added buddy club front and rear camber kits

After this we had a local car showing coming up so I started with some cleaning up touches

I pulled and died my carpet black

then i pulled my headliner and decided to do some custom fabric

after this I added a benen Tow how and a front license plate as I had been pulled over 3 times in 4 weeks for no plate

I also added a circuit hero shifter extension with buddy club shift know and blox short shifter.. Sorry no pics..

here is my car at are local car show IR208

and a couple more pics at a local meet

A coupe months later my brakes started making noise so I decided to upgrade.

Went with DBA Gold street series rotors with goodridge steal braided lines and OEM pads

I have been wanting to change the color of my wheels as I like bright colors so after some research I decided to plasti-dip them but I didn't want black. I found out they make blue so I ordered up 4 cans and on the next warm weekend I got too it

sorry no pics on car as my car is so Fing dirty and it's been so crappy out..

Here is my latest purchase

Got everything I need to put my steering wheel in.. So be looking out for that.. some teasers

also added this little nugget today

A couple pics of the wheels on the car... finally got a chance to clean it

Keep looking back for updates....

What a fantastic platform to start with.

Wish my DB was that clean when I picked it up.

I sold the enkei's local..

Thanks for the compliments guys..

I think am going to go back to a rim with a lip as I did like the enkei's better they just weren't bigger or wide enough for me

I want step up to a 16in rim either 7.5 or 8 inches wide..

OP...may I ask where you found that fabric for the headliner by chance??? What kind of other designs did you have to choose from sir? I'd like to re-do the headliner in my DB, was thinking of black suede but a pattern would be good too!!!

Cheers!!!

Nice build. I've always loved the DB8's. Makes me miss my old EG8s.

Looks like a great start so far, liking the stance. Any plans for performance?
