Question about axle for 97 accord!
Hey guys, I recently had my drivers side ball joint let go on me, and when it let go the axle pulled out and tore the boot, also lost 2 of the 3 bearings from inside the boot. Anyway's I need a new axle.
So here's my question, I found a used one for a good price from a 95 Accord EXR, but the 95 Accord is an automatic, and my 97 Accord is standard, will that make a difference?

I did notice when looking online for one that it never asks you for manual or automatic transmission...are you 100% sure they aren't going to be the same?
Ya, the only thing throwing me off is the EXR is V6 compared to my 4 cylinder, don't know much about the V6's or what's in them for tranny's, just know the car's are identical looking (not like that matters) ahah

Driver side axle is different for the auto and manual because of the intermediate shaft. Passenger side is the same. 4 cyllinder and 6 cyllinder axles are different.
Didn't realize you were talking about trying a v6 axle cuz that won't work

I believe the passenger side axle will be the same for Manual and Auto, but V6's will be different. As for the driverside, it'll be different due to the intermediate shaft that the 5spd have.
