does this work... h22a tranny with 5th h23 or f22 5th...

are the 5th gear swappable on the main shaft and countershaft or not ??

same width ? synchro design etC ??

need a fifft that will reduce rev's on highway ... let me know !!

Well, my old tranny from the H23A1 was at 4000 RPMs going 80 MPH in 5th and my new tranny from a H22a is 4000 RPMs at 80 MPH in 5th.

they are swapable - all prelude transmissions use the same shaft, my friend works at the dealer and he verified it.

Mainshaft, and countershaft are differant, in the H23 and f22.
I wouldnt go to that dealership your friend works at, if hes telling you that.

the gears from the f22 tranny will not work in a h22 tranny. they are cut at a different angle and you will **** up a perfectly good tranny if you do.

is their a way to get a gear to have less rpm's in 5th.. or i'm stuck with an lsd h22a tranny... i'd like to keep the rev's down cause i do alot of highway but i guess not eh......
