What ever happened to good old fashioned amber and green illumination in car radios? Now everything is this blue and red crap and that doesn't match the amber illuminatino in my CRX very well. Right now I've got an old Sony CD player with amber illumination, it matches well, but I hate Sony and this old CD player has seen it's day. What are my options for nice matching amber illumination, even stock Honda tape players, cd players, or even just an am/fm tuner. I just want something that can pick up fm stations well. I can live without my CDs. Gimme/show me some options. TIA

pioneer makes a few ambered head units

 

Pioneer has some on their bottem end. Middle to upper end Alpines will allow you to switch the buttons to amber, but not the display. Nakamichi would be your best bet for an amber display and very high quality head unit

stock type r cd player is amber and matches perfectly

 

my ///Alpine head unit allows me to switch to amber and the normal white/blue... it also switches my EQ display to amber if I switch my head unit to amber... theres also Nakamichi which has amber, some pioneer, sony which you already know, and stock Type R and I think Civic SI head units..
