Default 2001 Accord Wont shift at operation temp

Hello Everyone. I have a 2001 Accord EX with 160000 miles. Friday night the car started to slip first in 3rd and worked its way down to all the gears. When I got it towed home and started working on Saturday the shifted fine when the engine was cold. As soon as it reached operating temp it started slipping again. If I let the engine cool down again it worked again. Any Ideas???

Thanks

Unless the transmission is getting far too hot, there probably is nothing you can do besides rebuild it.

Once the transmission starts slipping badly, pull over and feel the transmission casing. If its well above the coolant temp, it might just be a clogged radiator.

Is it safe to assume you checked the fluid level ?

Have you filled the fluid recently ? You could have too much. Remember to check the fluid when it's hot. There should be hot and cold marks. It's best to check it when it's hot against the hot marks.
