You will need to use the search bar. You know the thing in the top right corner. Search for mini-me write ups and you will find everything you need to know. You are going to get any responses cause its been cover 100's of times.

As for you questions the timing wont be a big deal. I would get an adjustable cam gear just to get things perfect. As far as an ecu, you can use a y8 ecu just make sure you stay within the obd that you are doing the swap in. The only problem is that some had a fuel tank pressure sensor and some didnt. If you want a detailed list of what you need pm me and i will fill you in.

Lemme see. How to take off the head and put another one on without messing up timing? Answer. None. You will still have to check it once the the new head is on then wire the ECU for VTEC.
FAQs. Plenty of links on how to do it. Google also has probably hundreds of such links as well. Doubtful NONE of them have the info you're looking for.

IMO a waste of time and guess what? You will have to RETUNE THE ECU all over again just because you want VTEC.

4. Remove oil pin in between Cylinder 2 & 3.
5. Arp head bolt's, New gasket, D16z6 head, Reinstall 1-5
6. P28 vtec - dizzy. replace
7. P28 ecu replace.
8. Visit ww.Rywire.com - Go to 92-95 section Buy the DX chassie vtec sub harness, follow install direction and You got a 1.5-1.6 SOHC Vroooom...

No was in Hades you can be running a P2P ECU on a boosted setup unless you're running old school with a missing link and FMU.

So you just built an engine (or bought it) slapped on a turbo kit and are not running with any basemap (which you can't do on a P2P) or any piggyback engine management?

you time the head with the crank with the stock cam gear. if its been milled you need an adjustable cam gear only in this case or its completely for looks

everything matched. I DO NOT NEED a adjustable cam gear everything is fine. i have been driving it for a couple days already and not a problem. im a mechanic and a instructor for engine performance at ivy tech college ive been doing test and checking the timing. and everything is perfect. i met alot of people that has the same set up has me and they dont have a problem at all. and they been running it for years

I don't get how people try to modify their cars and still think that everything should be a bolt-on affair! not wanting to "mess with" your timing or get a proper tune is like honing your cylinders with sandpaper or porting your head with a chisel!

you are a mechanic and teacher doesnt mean you know a lot about tuning a car, running perfect doesnt mean the car has no problem neither.

a lot of techs with 20 yrs exp in the field dont actually know how things actually work together, because they are just like you , wouldnt listen . at some point in their lifes they just stopped believing what other people says because they think from there experience thats not possible, but really sometimes is just incorrect. my teacher often tell me wrong things. he's an big time mechanic who worked since 60s. so just open your mind there is always new things for you to learn

btw if you searched all the info is out there.

OP: Please keep things civil. The thread was going great until you exploded. Lots of good technical input and helpful advice you should at least consider politely. You don't have to agree with them. But the posters here are right, you do not do serious modifications to your engine like a turbo, cams, pistons, etc without tuning the car. It makes no sense to not tune a turboed engine.

If we can't keep things civil I have no qualms locking the thread. Don't let your experience blind you from good advice.

Swearing doesn't mean you aren't being rude...
For example, I feel that your attitude is nothing but a pile of bovine deification, google is your friend.

Write up that may help ==> http://goo.gl/mtdYq
