Default "New" EF

Greetings...

I am new to Hondas and recently bought a 90 Civic STD EF.
The car seems to run well and I had a mechanic check it out but save for things like brakes and maybe timing belt is there anything out there that I should look for to change just to be safe? The car is 22 years old after all.

Car is bone stock. No intakes, exhausts, engine swaps or rims.

For now I just want to make sure it is mechanically sound.

It does need a paint job as I see rust can become a real problem for these cars.

Looking for some more advice so bumping my thread.

The car feels very bouncy and "soft" while making any kind of turns.

Which would be a better mod as I am currently considering these options.

1. Suspension upgrade? be it shocks and lowering springs or coilovers or

2. Upgrade wheels from stock 13 steelies to a performance 14 or 15 inch wheel.

Just trying to take things slowly step by step but the handling is definitely an issue.

sounds like maybe shocks in the front are blown.
pull the shock assembly out and push on the shock. if it gives away with little or no resistance, replace them

Thanks...The car rides great but any kind of turn and there is significant lean. I checked the tire pressure on the 13s and am still experiencing this lean. Just trying to decide through all the suspension options since shocks themselves can run close to coilovers in price when adding springs.
