I am in need of replacing a seat in a friends 2010 civic ex sedan. I heard that if you swap the seat you will get a permanent srs fault code. Is there any way to avoid this? Also what years of seats can be interchanged with the 2010?

 

If i replace the seat with another 2010 seat will i get an srs error? Please help guys. Really need assistance

 

I can't see why you would get a code if you are replacing one seat with another out of the same type car and year.

If your do get a code I'm sure it could be removed by a dealer.

I would disconnect the battery first so you don't cause a short and explode one of the bags.
