Icon2 1988 CRX DX, hydro S40 swap question

I have an 88 CRX DX. I'm swapping a JDM D15B VTEC in with a hydro S40 trans. I have the Hasport hydro conversion kit, I've converted the car's wiring to MPFI and OBD-I, and am currently working on replacing most of the old brake and suspension components.

The issue I'm having is that I'm not 100% sure which axles to use. I need to replace the old ones, so reuse isn't an option. Does anyone know for sure whether to get stock replacements for the 88 CRX DX, or stock replacements for the civic that the S40 came out of? I would assume that it would be one of the two.

I had this same question too man about a year ago. The answer is... use your 88-91 crx axles. The 92-00 axles are TOO wide. If you use the wrong axles youll get one hell of a vibration! haha thats how i found out. So go with the 88-91 axles and you will be alllll good. I'm running an Obd1 Sohc Vtec ZC and S20 trans too. good luck and enjoy the ride!!
