I have a 97 Accord with the 4 cylinder vtec engine. Have an oil leak coming from a sensor(?) mounted on the back side of the cylinder head, passenger side. Not sure how to post a pic. Looking to find out what this is. The item is about the size of 3/4 inch socket, 1/2 inch drive with a triangular mounting flange for three bolts. Thnx.

 

Sounds like you're referring to the VTEC Solenoid, which is part #11 on this picture...

If that's it, to fix the leaks you want parts #10 and #12. Even if #12 isn't leaking, replace it while you're in there since the screen on it is a filter.
