I forgot to take pictures of my old roof molding strips when I pulled them off and threw them away.

I have a new set, but I don't know exactly where to position them before I snap them down permanent. (Like, how far forward or backward... there is at least half an inch of play.) I need them positioned exactly correct before I put my new windshield molding on next.

If someone could help me out in a huge way, I need a close up picture of their CRX of the front and rear areas like where I have circled in my picture. (Please try to take the picture of the back end with the hatch lid up.)

 

EDIT: This is on an '88 HF. Sorry if it doesn't work for your '84!

I just took some pics, but the front windshield seal covers up where the gutter molding on the roof mounts at the front.

The rear has little caps on the end it looks like, and they basically line on with the rear of the roof of the car. They're very slightly recessed, but that could be from age.

Sorry, car is dirty. Been sitting under pine trees for over a week.

Awesome. Wasn't sure since under your name it says 1984 and I figured it might work, but might not.

 

Some of the clips were out of production when I redid mine so I put in a little silicone first. Worked and fit great!
