Just swapped ECUs and car runs like crap
the EK I bought had a Z6 swapped in it that was running off of an LS ECU. Not sure exactly why the hell they did this, but I bought a p28 and a jumper harness and swapped the ECUs. Now the car feels like it's running out of gas when I'm under 3k...above 3k fine. Sometimes for a brief period it runs perfect, then back to feeling like I'm out of gas. Once I hit 3k she picks right up and wants to go. Not sure what is causing this, has anyone else had this problem? Any fixes??? I'm guessing I need a new map sensor but I'm not an expert on Hondas yet so I would appreciate any help!
Swapped the ECUs because the car was idle surging from 1k-2k over and over and over and just didn't feel right and had that weird idle. Checked the ECU and it was a P75 i believe, off of an LS 1.8 non vtec. Well my motor is a Z6 with a Y8 head on it and is vtec. Swapped the ECUs because some people on here told me they couldn't believe the car was even running and I needed to get it on a P28 asap. I do not believe the ECU from the LS was chipped.
Swap was done correctly yes, the car ran fine besides the idle issue on the P75. It is throwing code yes but I don't have vtec hooked up ATM and don't have a way to check which codes it's throwing. last tune up was about 3k miles ago.
