have you guys used these in place of buying all new mounts?

 

They don't really work all that well on old, worn or broken mounts. If you want them to perform properly it is suggested to get a new mount before you install the inserts, specially if your original mounts are worn out.

 

darn, mounts on these things are pricey!!
