Default GTX3076R turbine house fits on GTX3071R?

hello everybody. i have one question.

i already have a gtx3076r in my b16a2 engine and i want to buy a gtx3071r because i want more power at midle and finally the car goal is 500hp.

can i use the turbine house from gtx3076r with the gtx3071r chra?

these turbo in the garrett site seems like have the same wheel diametre(60.00mm) and the same Trim (84).

Understanding Garrett's naming structure makes this a bit clearer.

GT - compressor wheel design
76 - Compressor exducer size
30 - turbine wheel category
R - denotes BB CHRA

If you purchase the GTX3071R that has the 60mm exhaust wheel, you can fit the GTX3076R housing on it. For 500whp, I you'll be a bit stretched to make it, though its possible. if you go with the GTX3071R. That flow rate is at MAXIMUM pressure, and though the "map" says one thing, I've found that its off by a bit from practical testing. But depending upon your ability to test, it may work.

Now, knowing this, you can see that the GT3071R would therefore have a smaller 71mm turbine. Swapping this onto your existing turbocharger would allow it to spool a tad faster, but it will also fall off more in the top end.

Fixed.

hmm i think this is not true..(i hopes)

the RSP says that i can use the turbine house from gtx3076r to a gtx3071r.
i saw in garrett that these turbos has the same turbine wheel diametre and trim.

i want just to hit 500 hp crank power at maximum 22 psi.
before i had gt3071r @ 400hp crank power at 17 psi.

now i have the gtx3076r and i have ITR cams too.

BUT i have less power at 4000 rpm. the car have a lot of power at 5500-9200.

and i was thinking that gtx3071r can give me the goal of 500hp and helps a lot my midle range rpms.

My friend i apreciate your opinion...
last time i hear you i had the car i was dreaming.(gt3071r @358 whp at 17 psi with B16A2 cams)

so i want your opinion.
my goal is 450 whp with normal pressure.

my engine is
B16A2 with 81,5mm cp 9.0:1 cr and eagle rods. (OEM sleeves)
B18c6 cams
dual spring supertech
9200 limit rpm

myh goal is a street car with safe tune .. how much pressure? how much AfR?

gtx3071r? or gtx3076r?

What's going on is that the GT3071R series (including the GTX) has always had 2 turbine wheel choices to get based upon the part number.

Most of them (GT3071R) had the 56mm exhaust wheel, while one particular part number had the 60mm wheel the same as the the GT3076R. So it depends upon which version of the GTX3071R that you get that determines whether or not the turbine housing will mate to your new turbocharger. So, in this case, if you have cartridge number 700177-23, you have the 60mm diameter exhaust wheel, and you can fit your old housing on it. But, if you have cartridge number 700177-4 or 700177-3, you have the 56mm turbine wheel that will not fit your current turbine.

So, you need to measure and check

Don't worry. Once I get full description and "consult" with him a bit, I'll bring it out to the public. What I recommend is more like what 1158 used, which is neither the GTX3071R nor the GTX3076R.
