Default shave the holes, will you need

When you shave the holes, do you need to repaint and re-clearcoat the entire bumper to avoid colour difference? It seems a lot of work and cost a lot of money after I went to a few body shops. Any thought on that?

thanks

I shaved my emblems in the rear and they ended up painting my whole hatch.
