So i'm looking at picking up a b18b out of my friends garage, head & block no tranny... But I was thinking about shitcanning the b18b non-vtec head and looking for a b16 vtec head, and possibly trying to sell the old b18b head. Does anybody think this would be a smart move or would i be wasting my money? The engine is looking to be between $400-800 and the b16 head is looking at $700, Right idea or should I wait and get a diff setup? This would be going into my 91 hatch

 

Sounds fine, non vtec b series heads aren't worth anything though.

 

I know :/ thats why im skeptical about buying the whole engine ... i havent talked to him about buying just the block... but idt he would.
