hey all anyone installed a vafc on there 4gen pr3 (b16 ecu) i'm getting ready to wire mine up and just want to make sure i got these ecu pinouts right... please look over them and let me know if it's right or not. also if anyone has the exact pinouts those will be greatly appreciated

ok here's what i got

plugs: a(top row 8 bottom row 9) b (2 rows of 10) c (2 rows of 8 pins)

a4/a2- ground
a13- ign power
a8 vtec sig
b5 pressure sig (figureing this means oil pressure)
c13 throttle sig

still need these wires and any of ones above if wrong:
vtm sig (only some vehicles equipped)
rpm sig

keep in mind i have a stock 91 si harness w/ hasport subharness.

any help on this would be greatly appreciated, i allready went to apex's site and dl'd the instructions but all are for usdm and no ef civic

but still i printed them out.

 

make sure u follow all the directions on locations of wires and such be carefull and solder ur conections

 

if you have an Si, with the hasport subharness, there would be no changes. on plug A, there are 2 grounds that go into one pin, be careful of the order. rpm is on the middle connector--3rd from the floor side, on top of the connector.

ign pwr--ignition power, only has 12V with car on

vtc swc--vtec switch, 2 wire sensor on side of head. this will not be connected, the vafc is overriding it.
rpm= rpm
knock= knock sensor
speed= VSS output

 

yeah i'm useing t taps and shielded connectors for the install, solder is a pain and this works just as good. i'm following the directions the best i can.. just looking for some clarification.

 

thanks for the imput but i need the directions for the vafc... i just need to know where rpm and vtm wires go i guess... or is there even a vtm on pr3???? i allready have my subharness installed so i don't need knock sensor....

so here's what i have

ecu = Vafc
either a4 or a2 = ground
b1 = ign pow
a8= vtec sol
????= rpm (is vss the same???)
b5= press sig
c13= throttle sig
?????= VTM sig (is there one?)

i'm looking at the hasport diagram now and useing that to mark the pinouts i have to connect that's where i'm getting plugs a/b/c .

some older b16a don;t require the vtec oil pressure signal, some do however ...

the vss signal is the speed sensor, rpm signal is different ...

got the info i needed. it's actually on page 16 of the manual on there site. apexi.usa
