Hi everyone, Im lost at this problem, I have a 1993 accord with no sparks,, replaced with new distributor, coil, main realy, and ecu (used) still no spark, tinjectors getting pulse, fuel pump kicks on, no codes, power to ecu is good, power to ignition coil and distributor is good,, anyone have any suggestion??

 

Did you change plugs and wires just a question.

 

A few questions... A new distributor mean whole new body including coil and IGNITOR? What about rotor and cap (just establishing facts.)

You have no spark at the plug, and how was this tested? (Are you sure it is electrical failure)

Where did the 'new' ECU come from? Was it know good, did you test it?

Fuel pump kicks on but are you getting pressure?

From what you have listed, if all good, then that leaves what? Ignition switch? ???

 

check to see if the rotor button is roatating if not i had the same problem and it was a snapped cam shaft

 

HI sorry for the late reply, yes new cap, rotor, came with the new dist. new ignition coil too, getting injectors pulse fuel pump kicks on cel comes on for few sec. then kicks off indicating the main realy is good ( changed main realy too that didnt help) changed 3 different ecu 2 different dis. (new) 2 different coils (new) Im telling you this problem is making me crazy

 

also timing belt is good, rotor is turning, ground at thermostat housing good,,It had to be something stupid ? Im just wonderring if anyone have had that problem?

Are you sure you have a no spark condition? A timing light is a quick way to see if juice is going to the plugs.

The only other thing I can think of is the ignition switch in your column, but that is a long shot.

Are you sure it is not a fuel issue? Maybe a clogged fuel filter or a worn fuel pump not delivering enough pressure?

 

Did you check to see if your grounds are good on the Thermostat housing?

 

sorry for the late reply again but i figured ill post the result so mods can close this thread as fixed, the problem was with both distributor and ignition coil, so if any one have this problem with no sparks, the problem is in that area, computer has nothing to do with it

 

the igniter is what gives it the spark to give the coil its fire to start the spark . i got a 1992 honda accord 338000 miles it happen to me! i would not replace anything else until you replace the igniter!
