99 Accord EX stock security will not Arm.
I purchased a (rather basketcase) 99 accord EX 5sp, and I cannot get the stock alarm to arm. My wife has a 99 EX auto, so I know what the alarm should do (horn, lights, beep, LED, etc) and it seems that the alarm on this car is completely disabled. To add the the mystery, one of the previous owners *may have replaced the driver's side multiplex (after smoking their radio), possibly with a non-exact replacement. The guage cluster was also replaced from a non-ABS car (and with about 200,000 less miles ##@!!**@#@ ).
The manuals I have looked at are rather useless; with that said, I have been searching the last few days around the net/forums, and have found lots of information about disabling the alarm, and not so much about diagnosing it.
I have electronics experience, DMMs, and some time... so I was hoping for some insight, information, schematics/diagrams etc. I was able to reprogram a keyfob and check that keyless entry is fully functional, along with all power locks/windows.
Maybe we could start with helping me locate any relavant fuses and the stock alarm components?
Thanks,
^G

Ahh, Fixed (tentatively). Both the trunk and hood switches were malfunctioning, so when I bypassed only one (or the other) the alarm would not arm. Bypassed both, alarm is armed. Yay!
