What to do,should i get rid of my EK!!
So I'm thinking of getting rid of my 98 Ek hatch. Car has a couple of issues I fixed mostly all of them besides two, need a new trans, and new rings. Car has a 5lug on buddy clubs P1 b16b with a gsr trans with LSD but no 4th gear and the whole blown rings issue. Car is a great track car and DD. So what u guys think?

Upload pics for more honest answers... If your shell is clean and interior is mint youll get more then none haha... been there bro it always sucks but you gotta pay to play... I think a nice gsr block would be cheaper and easier than rebuilding the b16b someone may even be interested in that block...

you need to decide whether or not u have funds to replace the block with another and buy a new transmission. if nto SELL IT! if u do fix it and take it easy on it. it looks to me u should stop beating the shyt out of it if u want it to last and be reliable.
It really depends on your current situation (money, place to park, daily driver, etc.), your interest in the car, and what needs to be done to the car to make you happy with it. Not to mention will it even make you happy.
We cannot determine your exigencies nor do I think it is our place to tell you what to do with something that is a big financial decision.
That said, if you liked the car you wouldn't consider selling it. Personally, I would not sell my car for double it's market value. If you like the car the cheapest thing to do is to repair it. Swapping in a new block wouldn't be a big deal. You could even take this as an opportunity for an upgrade and get a b20 block and convert to a b20vtec.

I recently thought about parting out my Civic. I'd probably try to keep the shell if possible, since it does have so much sentimental value to me, but still, I thought over parting it and all.
Depends on the reasons for selling it. You could love the car and still figure out that getting rid of it might be the best idea.
Say you have kids and their toys come before your toys.

You're exactly right. Everyone is going to have different reasons for different actions when it comes to this type of thing. It's going to be awfully hard for us to accurately prescribe the right solution to his problem.
