Is digital a must? Precision torque wrenches are decently price and are very good. Snap-on re brands them and sells them as their own.

For serious ****, I use my craftsman digital torque meter which connects to a 1/2" breaker bar or ratchet and socket of choice.

For other misc ****, I use a beam style which I test periodically for accuracy.

Hmmm not sure why. They are extremely accurate. Anyhow, I would not skip out on price if torque accuracy is important to you. I have several torque wrenches, but my favorite is the Techangle. It is going on 8 years old now with out a problem.

If you are not interested in a degree setting, then I suggest the Techwrench. Both by Snap-on. Im sure there are cheaper versions out there, but then you have already had your experience with cheap havent you? So unless you can find the OEM of these wrenches, Snappy is your best bet.

I have for the most part used the click style wrench but like the others have said if you want it to be spot on and reliable your gonna have to pay for it.
