ok so i was hearing a ticking in my b16 head so took it to a guy he said it was the valvs so he try to adjust them but it wasnt that but he f^&*( my **** all up i pulled the plugs out and they were full of oil gas all that good stuff now i feel the motor diffrent like a ruff idle do you think i got bent valves if any body know how i can tell if they are bent without pullin the head off please i dont know if i posted this in the right spot oh and the ticking was is the lma hate them things

first of all i wouldnt go back to the same guy since it doesnt seem like he knows what hes doing.. second its hard for anybody here to help because we cant see/hear what exactly is going on. Oil on top of the plugs means bad valve cover gasket, oil on bottom could mean blown headgasket, check your oil and see if it looks milky

oh and saying help 3 times in a row in a 4 minute period isnt going to get you anywhere.

Check if your spark wires in order.
You sure the plugs show oil and not just gas? Did you take them all out or just one?
Again, check the firing order!

Yea is aY just take it back to the guy who messed it up. And just check your oil level if you pop vtec to much lol. I know mine starts ticking when i pop vtec to much lol

I would comp test it. If he adjusted valves poorly it will run like poop. I would invest in a comp tester and a feeler guage and get handy with valve adjustments.

 

all is in order but he tighten the valves to tight so i had to redo all of them but i think he might have bent a valve while doin his sh*** he aint no crap i wanted to beat the livin crap out of him but i just bounce lol it drove crazy that first night so i did the valves myself like i should have smh but thanks

 

its ok buddy i bought a gsr with a "healthy" motor supposibly and had to replace the head. its an easy job so dont worry

 

no its not ok i work hard for my money and for someone to mess my sh** up and say no it was like that nah !!

 

i believe what he was trying to say is dont get too down about it being messed up, sure you can be pissed at the guy and yeah it sucks but on the brightside of things it also wont be too hard to fix

 

ticking is bad not much you can do just get a new head 300 bucks on CL

thank you b20ztek What i meant was i was not really firmiliar with my gsr motor and had the head off and ready for the new one in no time. But also i still think you should check your compression numbers to see whats goin on in the cyl. I think it is possible that the valve lash is just so off that the car runs like poo and i think that could cause mad ticking just thinking.
