No Drinking????? Too late... Big Al and Noel arrived from New Zealand a week ago to work on the car, but have managed to sample a few every night
and the drivers Tim, Trevor, Martin and Richard along with our Camera man Peter arrived yesterday, They all left on an LA Pub crawl with a tour guide about 6.30 last night so I expect some sore heads this morning... Although the American Beer doesnt have the same octane rating as the Kiwi stuff.
Were looking forward to seeing everyone at the Barbeque this afternoon, and the Kart racing tonight!

Precisely, I would be amazed if a group of Kiwi's got together and there was no drinking involved.
....still wishes I could be there. You really must come up next year and visit our new track.

Had a great time with the Kiwi's at the barbeque and karting challenge!!! Speaking of karting challenge, NORCAL finished 1-2 in the Kiwi Karting Challenge. It was me laying down the smack down! I started 4th, won the race, and Paul Garcia finishing right behind me. (altho he may have a different opinion, LOL!)
In all seriousness, it was great meeting Al, Martin, Trevor, Richard, Tim, James, Mauricio, Noah, Peter, and everyone else I forgot (sorry). See you guys Wednesday!

It was great to meet all the drivers. I think we have a team that can do very well in this race.
We are also so very lucky to have such great sponsor support.
We also are going to have some reality TV with us.
The guys brought along their own videographer.
This will be fun indeed. I see some practical jokes being played.
On to the karting...
Yes we delivered the smack down...
Our kiwi drivers do have the skills and, it showed by coming in to an unfamiliar environment and staying pace with some good US karters.
After leading my final session, I was given the pitt manuver by Jonathan on the last lap to get me out of the way. (grrrrrrrrrr)
I tried to return the favor but our cars locked up sideways and there wasnt enough real estate to re return the favor again, and Jonathan wins.
My appeal to the race director for contact went unanswered (grumble grumble)
No sour grapes though, its racing.

Our return trip to Nor Cal was a longer, and tedious one with our departure at 10:00pm and ending at 4:00am. You guessed it .. I called in sick.
The traffic on the way was light but the fog.... Thick as pea soup and hazzard lights many times.
This was a recipe for a pileup if there ever was one.
None the less we had an adventure and great time.
Rest up Kiwi's you'll have to be at your best when the long part of the race weekend starts on Wednesday.
See you all at the airport in Sacramento.
