Which Short Throw Shifter: TWM Performance or B&M Race siggle bend?
I am sick and tired of the shitty shifter feel in my 1988 crx si. I am wanting top of the line best you can get, TWM Performance single bend or dual bend VS. B&M Race version single bend? Which one's better. Also which shifter bushing's should I buy, energy suspension red or. back bushings?
Energy Suspension bushing color doesn't effect the stiffness. They do feel great though. I have never used either short shifter but alot of the feel is in the shift ****. I would look for something wieghted which will help fall into gear.
A weighted shift **** does help worlds. I personally only run b&m short throw shifters. They are just the right throw for me. But its alot in preference. I use a blox weighted shift **** on my b&m single bend with energy suspension bushings and its perfect for me.
By far the best short shifter on the market in terms of quality, functionality and customer service is TWM Performance... I've personally ran many of their short shifters in my civics and I have nothing but great things to say about them..
When you combine the short shifter with one of their weighted shift ***** it destroys B&M's product plus their shifters are guaranteed for life!
Also TWM is having a Black Friday Sale right now on every one of their products and its rumored to be big savings!!
Check it out, you can't go wrong with their products

I have tried a few over the years, including the B&M dual bend, which is what i settled on. It's funny with that shifter, as i like it much much better on EF's then EG and EK's, it just feels right. (on 92-00 civic's, i like the Integra oem dual bend better)
lost my faith in short shifters. although you do feel a noticable difference i only have had bad experiences. mainly being 2nd-3rd gear shifts seem to be too quick and later on having syncro issues. this was with a Skunk2 dual bend. so i cant say anything for other manufacturers. but after having it in 3 vehicles with the same results, it says something to me. just my .02c anymore i just rock a set of good shifter bushings and a weighted ****. the 440g **** feels great and adds real positive shift feel.
