Default B Series tranny to a d17

I found a cheapo b series tranny from a 2000 si for sale, $75. I'm told that it can bolt upto a d17. just different gear ratios.

Is this true? how different are the ratios and would that tranny have an lsd?

1. It's not just a direct "bolt-on" affair. (See here: http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-f...r-own-d2b.html)
2. You're going to need a lot more than just a B-series transmission for the swap.
