Anyone tinted their tail lights with any of those film products by 3M? I did a search to no avail, would like to see some pictures if you got em. I'm thinking of doing kind of a subtle tint so as not to be a target for being pulled over. Also considering applying some to two of the headlights if anyone has any pics of that. Cheers!

 

Use the nightshade spray. That film is garbage.

EDIT: as far as pics go, it will probably look like the spray, except it will peel and bubble and look like ****

 

You have firsthand experience? I would imagine if its applied correctly it won't have any bubbles or peeling. I like the idea that it is removable in the event that I no longer want my stock tails to be tinted.

 

Are you talking tinted as in smoke tinted or red out?



unfortunately my drivers side one is cracked at the reflector..... sh*t happens

 

Please don't tint your tailights black. It's dumb, ugly, and no one can see your flipping tailights.

 

Well that's your opinion, personally I think it looks great on a black teg. As for not being able to see them there are some films that block as low as 5% of the light coming through allowing more than enough light for anyone too see.

Additionally, I searched this topic on team integra and found plenty of information (albeit a few years old), so for anyone with the same mindset as me look there.

I guess what I was really hoping for by posting was for someone to have some experience with the modern 3M film tint products.

 

i dont have it done on my integra but i had it for my fc.. it was good but it was kind of hard do for the first time. it took my about 4 tries. but they look ok but if you go straight pitch black then i think they are ugly but if you do a mild tint it is ok, but for my integra i just did a 2 layer spray tint the inside and it came out better then the tint film.. but thats just my opinion. but to really answer your question, they are a good product to use if you know how to use them. make sure you have a heat gun to do it.

 

Thank you that's the kind of reply I want to see. And yeah I'm thinking a very mild tint, don't wanna get pulled over and or rear ended.

 

dont worry man, i get tired of some people here. if it is a simple question just answer it since you are already know and is reading the problem. i hate when people tell me to search. i do search but most of the time all you get is idiots argueing what is better and how to do it their way cause their eagle is just that much bigger.. but anyways hope it helped you in your decision...

 

U can sand off the spray if you really wanted to. There was a guy who did a pantyhose tint, most LMFAO ever.

 

I've seen the pantyhose ones hahaha full marks for creativity for sure but I don't really like how it looks personally.
