EG6 CX Piping Size.
Hey guys so i'm looking to get a test pipe for my EG (CX model) and I was wondering what size should is my exhaust piping or what would fit correctly on a stock exhaust setup? I searched and found that the VX and CX are smaller than the DX/Si but didn't find a number. Also, I was wondering if anyone could suggest a test pipe for me I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
Why get a test pipe? If your cat is bad any muffler shop should be able to replace it with pipe for $20...it's not like you're going to gain any hp from deleting the cat

I actually thought I would but, I guess there's no point since no hp gain lol. My cat works fine though so i'll keep it as is till I can get a full exhaust system then I guess.
if you get an aftermarket exhaust you will need a test pipe for cx or vx (2 bolt to 3 bolt flange can't remember what length) because of the cat being part of the cx manifold and aftermarket exhaust are made to bolt on to si/dx cat.
LOL yeah I figured i'm not going to lie when I opened my hood I didn't that was the cut under the header, thing is I want to do start doing some small performance mods (if any of you were wondering why i'd want to put the test pipe) if it helps at all it's the canadian version with the dx motor
There is no help for an 8-valve CX motor. Run it stock or swap it out. Do what I did (94 CX)..... Get all your suspension, brake, tire & wheel stuff sorted first. Then save up for a swap. I've been working on mine for like 12 years now! :D
very well said... you would not notice ANY mods on the car besides sound
Yeah, I drove my stock CX motor with a.......well.......down-pipe-back exhaust and no intake resonator for many years. Kids would beat me in their Mom's Hyundais. The most fun I had was racing against my friends bone-stock 92 CX. Now that was funny.
Call it rice......I don't care. I just love working on this car.

Haha I was actually looking to boost
just a low pressure setup ya know a little umph in my daily driver guess i'll swap my motor first. Any suggestions on what would be the most appropriate motor for minor bolt ons and a turbo setup? approx. 200 whp~ would be the goal in mind I guess

Common term for 92-95 Civic would just be EG. Techincally the CX & VX are EH2. It's the chassis code in your vin number.
EG6 is specifically the Japanese SiR model in Japan (with the B16A).
