Honda Challenge folks...
Tech will be the same as CMP and Lowes (what Karl did). Everyone PLEASE park in the assigned area to make it easier on us.
Times from the qualifying sessions only will set the grid
Races will be standing start - 15 laps or 30 minutes

Trophy Presentation AND Championship Trophies AND Driver/Year AND Rookie/Year will be awarded Saturday evening.
Championship battles that go into Sunday will be awarded on Sunday afternoon amongst a small crowd of your closest friends .

15 laps or 30 minute
I was talking to Shultz, and he really wants to apologize in advance for cutting the race short for everyone else. He'll get his 15 laps done in much less than 30 minutes

Ok, if the race is scheduled for 15 laps, make sure to make it 14 so my axles will make it!

How do we do rookie of the year when we are all rookies to the series this year? Rookie to racing in general?

How do we do rookie of the year when we are all rookies to the series this year? Rookie to racing in general?

Matt
Because essentially everyone was a rookie, Karl and I had to redefine "rookieness" in order to be able to even remotely make a decision. Jack, Corey, Brinson, etc. have all had great years, but lets face it, they are now the series veterans (seriously). We couldn't make a decision amongst that group anyway, and we didn't want a 3 or 4 way tie.
So Karl and I have a very subjective definition of "rookie" that we used for this year. Next year, and in subsequent years, a "rookie" will be anyone in his first year of racing.

Next year we will also do driver of the year and rookie of the year by private nominations and votes from the drivers. We didn't do that this year because...
1. The "rookieness" was kind of strange
2. We wanted to set the precedent of what these awards mean
3. We didn't give ourselves enough time to get nominations, voting, and trophies made (oops... my fault).

Couple of comments:
1. Is there any reason why the classroom times can't be aligned to roughly correspond to the on track time? Just makes it easier to comprehend (and pencil in changes should we, this never happens, go off schedule).

2. Is it normal for Novice to only have 3 classrooms?

...again - just comments, rest assured I am thankful for whoever got stuck on Excel making that, even as it is.

Just make sure somebody tells the heavyweights (SCCS *****) to park in THEIR DESIGNATED area this time. Shouldn't be a problem if they aren't in our area.. again.

-Robert - who was not happy when he reached his assigned bay at the Lowe's Garage, only to find the SCCS Techistration camped there.
