Check whether the PCV valve is clogged and then adjust the idle speed (see FAQs sticky for proper method).

Any CEL codes?

Clean your IACV, also I believe you're supposed to unplug the IACV when adjusting the idle screw

Did you calibrate the new TPS?

Have you tested the 2-wire ECT sensor below the distributor?

Is the ignition timing set to spec?

hi thx for the response..

yes, i calibrate the TPS, 0.5 closed and 4.8 WOT,
about the ECT i dont have checked that, i will verify it tomorrow, there is a way to test it?.

about timing I never changed that, I guest must be well. the only way to check the time is using a timing light right? o there is another way?

The resistance of the ECT sensor should 200-400 Ohms when the engine is fully warmed up.

You may find a free rental on a timing gun at an auto parts store. You can buy a new one for about $30.

hi,

I had to go out and see the ETC Sensor hehehe, i do a visual inspection i see 2 splited wires, the plug has blk/ylw wire and red/blk wire.

and has tied, white/gree to blk/ylw and red/white to red/blk..

From ECU To ECT

------White/Red-------|---blk/ylw

-----Green/White------|---red/blk

White/Red and Green White are the correct wires color from the ECU to ECT?

Has the engine been swapped? Post pictures. You may be looking at the EVAP purge control solenoid.

1) Spliced wires should be soldered and insulated with shrink wrap. Your wires can short out on the engine.
2) You have the ECT sensor wires spliced to a connector with Yel/Blk and Red (or Red/Blk) wires, which fit with the EVAP purge solenoid not the ECT sensor.

Yes. Measure resistance of the ECT sensor, solder and insulate the exposed wires, and then check whether the CEL clears and does not return.

Can you post pictures of your engine and harness? If your ECT wiring looks like that more than likely you have some other "rigged" items that may be causing the issue.

Replace the ECT sensor and properly repair the wires.
